Several folks have been complaining for a while about Action Links not being properly generated when MVC routes are mixed with Service Route.

I posted on how you can address this (for now) here: http://codebetter.com/glennblock/2011/08/05/integrating-mvc-routes-and-web-api-routes-2/

Calling routes.Add() directly was a workaround to the issue related to having both an http and https binding. Is this a case of routes.MapServiceRoute() trying to do too much? :)

It was? Can you give me more detail on what you mean?

On the last point...that may be :-)

Well, it was *sort of* a workaround. I was referring to the issue described in this thread. http://wcf.codeplex.com/discussions/256025

It required using WebServiceHostFactory3 and JsonValue as an argument type in your resource, so it probably wasn't much of a workaround for most people. I simply turned off binding to https in my local IIS as my workaround. :)
