metadata exchange endpoint?

Using the preview 6 I’ve created a wcf web api for a simple MVC ef cf project to exercise my learning. It is based on the starter and going further tutorials. It works. Cool stuff. Love the intellisense in the test client.

I would like to use this api I’ve created in a wpf application. I attempted to add a service reference in the wpf application.  However my wcf web Api doesn’t expose  a mex metadata endpoint. I further experimented a bit with Silverlight OData but I apparently don’t have the metadata exposed for that either.

Search of this forum and the chm files included with the distribution failed me. Can someone point me in a direction for further reading to illuminate this subject? And/or perhaps a code sample based on the starter project that would implement the metadata exchange endpoint?
