I would like to give caching capabilities to my application. In WCF Rest the WebCache attribute allows you create caching profiles and configurations, can I use  that attribute also in WCF Web Api?

WebCache attribute is not supported currently in Web APi. We will look into this in future release. thanks!

If we are only concerned with implementing an expiration caching mechanism, it seems like the AspNetCacheProfileAttribute works.

Is there a reason why we should instead set the response message's CacheControlHeaderValue?
