Just getting to know WCF Web API....

1.Is WCF Web API is a good choice for Intranet application as well?

2.We are thinking to create 2 clients,one based on SL and the other on HTML5 can WWA serves both?

  In the future we may supports mobile,pda etc...

3.Our model is dynamic (user can add new entities and new properties) and our data access

Layer is legacy; still I want to use OData query language with IQueryable,

I want to do something like this:

IQueryable<EntityObject> RunQuery(){}

Where EntityObject is the base class of all entities in our system

It is just a hash table with additional properties: id, name, description etc...

All queries will go through this function

Looks like that I can implement IQueryable in order to get the expression tree

And transform it to our data access layer method calls,

I want to be able to return several formats(odata,json etc..)

Is this approach sounds reasonable?

4.Our data access layer is COM based,is there a problem forcing Web API service running in a STA just as we are doing in WCF?

Thanks
